No mans land
I go over the top

and see the rot
bloods galore
time stands still

as I run
throug all of the mud
I know im done
rapid fire showers us
from the enemies trenches

my comrads fall beside me
and I wonder
did we have any chance
the weeks we fought
in the trenches full of mud
and infested with large rats
men losing their limbs
all the granades and bombs

rained from above
their was never any sleep
but only constant fear
that we are o go next
as i run forth
i finally realize
there really was no point
